(A) WATER DISTRIBUTION LINES are defined as the pipes which convey the water from the service line to the plumbing fixture.
(B) The lines shall be free from defects, installed in a workmanlike manner, and shall be of copper, galvanized iron or brass material. Type K copper or galvanized iron shall be used for pipes which are buried and all lines shall be protected against freezing so far as possible.

The water meter, although it may be on subscriber’s property, is owned and maintained by the city water and sewer system and in case of damage to the meter by fire, heat or malicious tampering, such damage will be billed to the subscriber.
