4-1-2: DUTIES:

Members of the fire department shall perform such duties relating to the extinguishment and prevention of fires, protection of life and property from fires, and have such other powers and duties relating to firefighting and fire prevention as are prescribed by law, by charter, by this code and as the city council may determine. (1982 Code § 2.422)
