Unless otherwise specifically defined in this chapter, any terms in this chapter that are defined or described in the Small Wireless Communications Facilities Deployment Act, 2018 PA 365, MCL 460.1301, et seq, shall have the definitions or descriptions as set forth in that Act and shall be defined consistent with the Act. Additionally, as used in this chapter:
(a) “Act” means the Small Wireless Communications Facilities Deployment Act, 2018 PA 365, MCL 460.1301, et seq, as the same may be amended from time to time.
(b) “Applicant” means a wireless provider or wireless infrastructure provider that submits an application described in this chapter.
(c) “Small cell wireless facility” means a wireless facility as defined in the Act that meets both of the following requirements:
(l) Each antenna and all of its exposed elements is six cubic feet or less in volume.
(2) All other wireless equipment associated with the facility is cumulatively not more than twenty-five cubic feet in volume, exclusive of electric meters, concealment elements, telecommunications demarcation boxes, grounding equipment, power transfer switches, cut-off switches, and vertical cable runs for the connection of power and other services.
For purposes of this chapter, the definition of “small cell wireless facilities” does not include micro wireless facilities that are suspended on cables strung between utility poles or wireless support structures in compliance with applicable codes.
