Pursuant to and in accordance with Section 8b of Act 230, of the Public Acts of 1972, as amended, the City assumes responsibility for the administration and enforcement of the Michigan Building Code and the Michigan Residential Code, throughout its corporate limits. The Michigan Building Code and the Michigan Residential Code to be enforced pursuant hereto shall be that most recently adopted by the Michigan State Construction Code Commission. The Building Code Official of the City is hereby designated as the person with the responsibility to enforce the provisions of the Code.
