1026.03 DRIVEWAY APPROACHES.
   (a)   Material. Driveway approaches must be constructed with concrete.
    (b)   Width. Driveway approaches shall match the width of the driveway at the right of way, with the street end of the driveway ten feet wider than the width at the right of way. No ribbon driveway approaches shall be permitted.
    (c)   Thickness. Concrete driveway aprons shall be at least five inches thick. Asphalt driveway aprons shall consist of a sub-base of at least four inches of gravel or crushed limestone, and the asphalt applied thereon shall be at least two inches thick.
   (d)   Expansion Joints. Driveway aprons, when constructed of concrete, shall contain expansion joints one-half inch thick which shall be placed at each end of the apron next to the sidewalk and next to the curb.
