The Council shall require appropriate surety bonds of officers and employees in such amounts as determined by resolution and the premiums for these shall be paid by the City, and proof of these bonds shall be kept on file with the Clerk. If any appointive officer or other employee for which a bond is required shall be found to be unbondable, that office or position shall be deemed vacant.
