Section 8.9. Functions of the Police Chief.

The Chief shall perform all duties required of police chiefs by State law, the provisions of this Charter, and the ordinances of the City, and the Chief shall plan and direct the office and field activities of the City Police Department, patrol City streets and investigate crime, and perform related work as required.
