For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
EXISTING POULTRY OPERATION. A poultry operation in place and operating on the date this subchapter becomes effective.
NEW POULTRY OPERATION. A poultry operation in place and operating after the date this subchapter becomes effective.
POULTRY ANIMAL UNIT. One hundred and twenty-five chickens.
POULTRY OPERATION. Any activity involving the housing and/or raising of poultry in excess of 16 poultry animal units.
RURAL COMMUNITY. Communities recognized as rural communities in the adopted comprehensive plan.
