This subchapter shall be applied, construed and administered in accordance with the I.C. 36-6-16 et seq., and any amendment thereto. In the event that I.C. 36-8-16 et seq., shall be amended by the state in a manner so as to become inconsistent, or cause a conflict with the provisions of this subchapter, then, and in that event, this subchapter shall be amended to include and adopt those provisions of the Indiana Code amending I.C. 36-8-16 et seq., as if the same were fully set forth and incorporated herein.
