§ 156.020 APPEARANCE AND VISIBILITY.
   (A)   Wireless telecommunications facilities shall not be artificially lighted or marked, except as required by law.
   (B)   Towers shall be galvanized or painted with a rust-preventive paint of an appropriate color to harmonize with the surroundings, and shall be maintained in accordance with the requirements of this chapter and any conditions of the special use or zoning compliance permit.
   (C)   If lighting is required, the applicant shall provide a detailed plan for sufficient lighting of as unobtrusive and inoffensive an effect as is permissible under state and federal regulations.
   (D)   (1)   To reduce the overall visual impact of a new tower, towers shall be limited to monopole, mast, or lattice structures only.
      (2)   Guyed towers shall only be allowed for state or county emergency management or law enforcement noncommercial wireless telecommunication facilities that exceed the maximum commercial height limitation.
    (E)   Landscaping shall be required around the perimeter of the secured area.
      (1)   Such landscaping shall, at a minimum, comply with this chapter’s standards for landscape buffers and screening.
      (2)   The Board of Adjustment may require additional landscaping to effectively screen the secured area.
