§ 113.02 PURPOSE AND INTENT.
   The purpose and intent of this chapter is to provide for the public health, safety and welfare of the citizenry of the county, to promote the peace and dignity of Davidson County and provide for an orderly regulation of the location of adult establishments and to eliminate the undesired secondary effects of adult establishments, including but not limited to, illegal sexual activity and other criminal conduct occurring on or in the immediate proximity of such establishments, as well as unsanitary and unhealthy conditions on or within such establishments. This chapter is adopted and enacted pursuant to the authority granted by G.S. Chapter 153A to regulate the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Davidson County. Furthermore, it is the express intent of the Board of Commissioners that the provisions of this chapter are to be interpreted, applied and enforced in a manner not inconsistent with the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.
