§ 70.01 DEFINITIONS.
   The following words and phrases when used in this chapter shall have the
meanings respectively ascribed to them below:
   ABANDONED VEHICLE. Any vehicle or motor vehicle which is parked for longer than 24 hours on a county parking lot without the consent or permission of the county or any vehicle which is parked on public property for longer than seven days.
   COUNTY. Davidson County.
   DESIGNATED SPACE or PARKING SPACE. A location of space for the parking of a vehicle between two lines painted or marked on the travel surface of a county owned parking lot.
   IMPROPER PARKING or IMPROPERLY PARKED. A vehicle which is not parked within a designated space or is parked in a space without permission of the county or is parked for longer than the authorized two hour limit or is parked by a person not conducting county business on county owned property or is parked in such a way as to create a health or safety hazard to persons or property or is parked for longer than the time allowed by the permit issued to that vehicle or is otherwise parked in violation of this chapter or is parked for longer than the time purchased to park a vehicle.
   MOTOR VEHICLE. Any machine or vehicle designed or intended to travel over land or water or in the air by self-propulsion or a vehicle attached to a self-propelled vehicle, including automobiles, trucks, mopeds, farm tractors, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, and motor homes.
   OPERATOR. Any person who acts to park a vehicle on county property to which this chapter applies.
   OWNER. A person, firm, corporation, association, government and any other entity holding legal title to a vehicle or a person in lawful possession of a vehicle or a person, firm, corporation, association or government holding any kind of lien on a vehicle.
   PARKED or PARKING. The placing of a vehicle on any county property to which this chapter applies and includes proper parking, improper parking, improperly parked and all forms of placing a vehicle on county property.
   PARKING LOT or PARKING DECK. A parcel of land or a structure provided for the parking of vehicles.
   RENTAL VEHICLE. Any vehicle rented or leased by the legal title holder to another person.
   TWO HOURS or TWO HOUR LIMIT. One continuous period of two hours when the vehicle is on the county property.
   VEHICLE. Any machine or device in, upon or by which any person or property is or may be transported or drawn upon the surface of the earth or in the air and by way of illustration includes motor vehicles, trailers, bicycles, and mopeds.
