(A) The Council shall review each sewer tap application and either grant or deny such request by approving a motion, and if granted, confirm such grant to the requester(s) in writing.
(B) RESIDENCE is defined by the town as an abode intended for occupancy and habitation by not more than one family, acknowledging that, in today’s culture, a family occupying a residence a lot of times consists of any composition of relatives, such as aunts, uncles, grandparents, great-grandparents, parents, siblings, cousins and the like.
(C) Applicants must pay an application fee of an amount as set by the Town Council from time to time per residence for the first three residences. For the fourth and subsequent residences that an applicant seeks a sewer permit, the applicant shall pay an amount as set by the Town Council from time to time per residence.
(D) Should the Council approve an applicant’s request for a sewer permit, the permit fees are hereinafter an amount as set by the Town Council from time to time per permit. Each residence shall require a separate permit.
(E) In addition to the application fee and the permit fee, applicants who submit an approved application to the town must also pay an amount as set by the Town Council from time to time for an installation/equipment fee per residence.
(F) In the event that a residence is located along a gravity line supplied by the City of Evansville and no septic tank, pump station or control panel is required, the applicant shall only pay the permit fee to the town an amount as set by the Town Council from time to time per residence. Any and all additional costs to tap the Evansville gravity line and extend a sewer line to the property, or any additional tap fees charged by the City of Evansville, will be paid for by the applicant.
(G) Collectively, the town shall charge an amount as set by the Town Council from time to time for each tap for the applicant’s first three taps. For an applicant’s fourth and subsequent taps, the town shall charge an amount as set by the Town Council from time to time to the applicant.
(H) The fees/costs imposed by the town are in addition to any fees/costs charged by Evansville Water and Sewer Utility.
