As an integral part of the application, the applicant shall pay, at the time of filing the application, an application fee in the amount of $15, none of which shall be refunded to the applicant if the license is not issued. The fee retained by the town shall be deposited by the Clerk-Treasurer into the Law Enforcement Firearms Training Fund or other appropriate training activities fund and used by the town exclusively for the purpose of training law enforcement officers in the proper use of firearms or other law enforcement duties.
