§ 91.09  DISPOSAL OF ABANDONED VEHICLE.
   In the event it shall become necessary to dispose of an abandoned vehicle, the disposition shall be in accordance with the terms of state law, to wit:
   (A)   If the abandoned vehicle is at a value of $100 or less or is absent of identification markings making it impossible to locate or identify the owner thereof, the vehicle may be immediately disposed of by the town;
   (B)   The vehicle may be retained in storage for the period of time as may be necessary to sell the same at auction in accordance with the law pertaining to the sale of abandoned or surplus property of the town. Ordinarily, the vehicle would have to be in the possession of the town for at least a period of 1 year; or
   (C)   The storage lot may notify the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles in accordance with I.C. 9-22-1 et seq. and the vehicle may be disposed of at public auction by the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles, after 15-days’ notice to the owner thereof, as provided by law.
