(A) Any person violating this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined $40 if the conviction is that person’s first offense under this chapter and fined $50 if the conviction is that person’s second offense under this chapter and fined $60 for each and every conviction after the second offense.
(B) In addition, the owner of any animal taken into custody by the town shall pay and be responsible for any and all reasonable transportation costs, impound fees, boarding expenses, reclaiming fees and other costs incurred by the town or its agents for the transport and storage of the animal.
