For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ANIMAL. Any cow, sheep, swine, fowl, dog, cat or any other domesticated animal and includes both the singular and plural thereof.
ANIMAL CONTROL AGENCY. The entity with legal responsibility for animal control within the town, whether by contract or by law. As of June 8, 2017, when this definition was adopted, that entity is the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County, Inc.
ANIMAL POUND. Any building, pen or other structure now or hereafter used for the purposes of collecting or impounding animals under the provisions of this chapter, whether located within or without the town.
PERSON. Any individual residing or owning property within the town, as well as any firm, corporation or group of individuals, firms or corporations within the town.
