For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
DUCK FIRE DISTRICT. That certain geographical area generally known as Duck lying between the northernmost limits of the Town of Southern Shores and the Dare-Currituck County line and bounded on the east by the Atlantic Ocean and on the west by the Currituck Sound.
OCEAN BEACH. The land between the mean low water mark and the primary dunes (the dunes closest to the ocean).
SOUND BEACH. The land between the mean low water mark and the private property line.
