For the purpose of this subchapter the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
“ADULT CARE FACILITY.” Any person, group of persons, agency, association, or organization, whether established for gain or otherwise, who or which receives for care or provides for the care of one or more adults, such as a nursing home, nursing home care and long-term facility, sheltered care home, or home for the aged, on premises maintained for the care of adults.
