(A) In areas bounded on the north by Voorhees Street, on the south by Fairchild Street, on the east by Gilbert Street and on the west by Logan Avenue, shall be designated as a "Brick Street Preservation Area". Additionally, that portion on West Center Street bounded by Vermilion Street on the east and Walnut Street on the west shall be included in the provisions of this section. Additionally, the 200 block of Cedar, bounded on the north by Newell Ave, on the south by Dawn Ave, on the east by Cedarwood Drive and on the West by Jackson Street shall be included in the provisions of this section. Any street or sidewalk openings, whether by contractor, utility or city forces in an existing brick street or sidewalk, shall be replaced with the existing brick in a manner directed by the City Engineer.
(B) Upon receipt of a petition signed by the majority of the property owners and approval by the city council, other existing brick streets in the city may also be designated as a designated brick street.
