§ 99.05 ACTION ON PERMIT APPLICATIONS.
   (A)   City Review of Permit Applications. Completed permit applications, containing all required documentation, shall be examined by the City Engineer 25 days after filing for work involving excavations and 10 days after filing for work not involving excavation or new construction. If the application does not conform to the requirements of applicable ordinances, codes, laws, rules, and regulations, the City Engineer shall reject such application in writing, stating the reasons therefor. If the City Engineer is satisfied that the proposed work conforms to the requirements of this Chapter and applicable ordinances, codes, laws, rules, and regulations, the City Engineer shall issue a permit therefor as soon as practicable. In all instances, it shall be the duty of the applicant to demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the City Engineer, that the construction proposed under the application shall be in full compliance with the requirements of this Chapter.
   (B)   Expedited Review Option. At the request of the applicant when accompanied by an expedited review fee, the permit application will be reviewed by the City Engineer subject to the requirements of division (A) within 5 working days. The expedited review fee shall be $1.50 per foot of installation with a minimum fee of $225 and a maximum fee of $750.
