Battalions shall be on duty for a period of 24 hours, off duty but on call in case of emergency for a period of 48 hours. Subject to the exemptions of ILCS Ch. 70, Act 705, §§ 16.11a and 16.11b, no person shall be required to remain on duty for periods of time which, in the aggregate in any one month, amount to more than 56 hours for each week in that month.
