The purpose of the Fire Division shall be:
(A) To prevent fires from starting by exposing and eliminating unsafe conditions likely to cause and spread fires.
(B) To enforce fire safety codes.
(C) To suppress and control fires.
(D) To investigate the cause and origin of all fires.
(E) To come to the relief of all persons in distress and in need of emergency medical first aid.
(F) To perform inspections of business, commercial, institutional, industrial, assembly, hotels, rooming houses, large apartments, and public buildings.
