§ 33.09 POWERS AND DUTIES.
   The Commission shall have the following general powers and duties:
   (A)   To prepare and recommend to the Mayor, the "functional plans" called for in the City's current strategic plan. To prepare and recommend other plan elements generally considered to be part of a community's comprehensive plan.
   (B)   To exercise such other planning and zoning powers granted by the Illinois Municipal Code.
   (C)   To provide citizens input to various City officers or other citizens advisory groups, in regards to community planning projects or issues.
   (D)   To accept and receive a plat of subdivision of land for preliminary approval, and advise and assist the City Council in final approval, pursuant to the Illinois Municipal Code.
   (E)   Any authority or responsibility assigned to the Planning and Zoning Commission in Chapter 150, zoning ordinance, or any other chapter of the City code of ordinances.
   (F)   Any authority or responsibility assigned to the Greater Danville Plan Commission in any chapter of the City code of ordinances.
   (G)   Any authority or responsibility assigned to the Zoning Board of Appeals in any chapter of the city code of ordinances.
