§ 32.03 BOND.
   (A)   Each officer or employee of the City listed below shall execute a bond before beginning the duties of office or employment, with good and sufficient corporate surety to be approved by the City Council, payable to the City, conditioned as provided in this section, and in the following penal sums respectively:
Office               Amount of Bond
Mayor               $ 25,000.00
City Clerk            $ 25,000.00
City Comptroller and City Collector   $ 100,000.00
City Treasurer            $ 150,000.00
Corporation Counsel         $ 25,000.00
Director of Public Transportation   $ 50,000.00
Revenue Clerk            $ 25,000.00
The premium for each such bond shall be paid by the City.
   (B)   All bonds shall be filed with, recorded, and preserved by the Clerk, except the bond of the Clerk, which shall be filed with the Treasurer.
   (C)   The condition of the official bond of these City officers described in subsection (A) above shall be substantially as follows:
   "The condition of this obligation is such that the principal obligor was, on the_day of,_A. D. 20   , elected (or appointed) to the office of              of the City of Danville, Illinois, for the term of      years. "If the principal obligor shall, during the term for which he was chosen, or so long as he shall lawfully hold office, faithfully perform all duties of the office during the term, and shall pay over all money received as required by law, and deliver all records, papers, and property of the City at the expiration of the term, or when demanded by proper authority, and save, keep harmless, and indemnify the City against any and all loss, damage, or injury arising out of the act or default of the officer in the performance of his official duties, or in failing to perform the same, then this obligation shall be null and void; otherwise, it will remain in full force and effect."
