§ 32.01 APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS BY MAYOR.
   (A)   The officers of the City listed herein shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council. Vacancies in appointed offices may be filled in the same manner. The following positions shall be officers of the City:
   City Clerk
   City Comptroller
   Corporation Counsel
   Director of Public Safety
   Director of Public Transportation
   Director of Public Works
   Director of Urban Services
   Human Relations Administrator
   (B)   A person appointed to any office named herein shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor, until his or her successor is duly appointed and qualified.
   (C)   Whenever a person has been appointed to an office hereunder, the Mayor shall issue and deliver to the City Clerk a certificate of appointment. The City Clerk shall endorse thereon the approval of such appointment by the City Council, and place the certificate in the permanent records of the City. No warrant or other commission shall be required.
   (D)   Each officer appointed hereunder shall take and subscribe the oath provided by law before entering upon the duties of his or her office.
   (E)   Duties of each of these positions shall be defined by position descriptions as prepared from time to time by the Human Resources Administrator of the City and as approved by the Mayor, as well as by other ordinances of this City, state statute, and/or federal law.
