§ 52.07  METER DEPOSIT FEE.
   (A)   Each new user, at the time of their meter connection, shall pay a meter deposit fee of $200. This deposit shall be retained indefinitely and applied to the customer’s final utility bill with any remaining balance refunded to the customer.
   (B)   Each new user shall pay a meter deposit fee of $200. The deposit shall be retained indefinitely and applied to the customer’s final utility bill; provided, however, that the deposit shall be refunded to the customer (or applied as a credit to the customer’s bill) if the customer makes timely payments for 12 consecutive months and the customer is the owner (as opposed to a tenant) of the property where water service is being provided. Furthermore, customers purchasing property via a land contract, and who have provided the town a copy of the land contract, shall have a credit applied to their account in the amount of the deposit, if they make timely payments for 12 consecutive months.
