§ 74.01  DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   FARM MACHINERY. All machinery commonly used on farms, which is designed to travel along the ground by use of wheels, self-propelled, or otherwise.
   HIGHWAY. See STREET.
   INOPERABLE MOTOR VEHICLE or FARM MACHINERY. Any motor vehicle or piece of farm machinery not within an enclosed building and in such a deteriorated or destroyed condition as to be unable to be operated safely with the due regard to standards set by the state for motor vehicle equipment.
   MOTOR VEHICLE. A machine propelled by mechanical power designed to travel along the ground by use of wheels, treads, runners, or slides and transports persons or property or pulls machinery. MOTOR VEHICLE shall include, without limitation, automobiles, trucks, trailers, motorcycles, and tractors.
   STREET. The entire width between the boundary lines of every way publicly maintained when any part thereof is open to the use of the public for purposes of general travel, both ambulatory and vehicular. STREET or HIGHWAY shall include alleys.
