It shall be the duty of any police officer of the village to require any person seen canvassing, soliciting or peddling, who is not known by the officer to be duly licensed, to produce his or her permit and badge issued under § 110.04 of this chapter. Any person engaged in canvassing, soliciting or peddling shall, upon request by any village police officer, produce the permit and badge issued under § 110.04 of this chapter.
