§ 110.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   CANVASSER, SOLICITOR or PEDDLER. Any individual, corporation, limited liability company, partnership or other entity, including employees, and others canvassing, soliciting or peddling on behalf of or for the benefit of any individual, corporation, limited liability company, partnership or other entity, whether a resident of the village or not, traveling by foot, wagon, automotive vehicle, motor truck or any type of conveyance, from place to place, from house to house, or from street to street, taking or attempting to take orders for sale of goods, wares and merchandise, personal property of any nature whatsoever for delivery, carrying or transporting goods, wares, merchandise, personal property of any nature, offering and exposing the same for sale, or for services to be furnished or performed in the future; provided that, the definition shall include any individual who, for himself, herself or for another individual, hires, leases, uses or occupies any building, structure, tent, hotel room, lodging house, apartment, shop or any other place within the village for the sole purpose of taking orders for future delivery; provided, however, that, this definition shall not be deemed to include any person who sells or offers for sale any product of his or her own raising or the manufacture of any article manufactured by him or her, and this definition shall not be deemed to include any persons selling by sample only, nor to any agricultural articles or products offered or exposed for sale by the producer.
