(A) (1) Subject to the provisions of this chapter, any premises located within the village may be equipped with an emergency alarm for the purpose of detecting and signaling the presence of a holdup, unauthorized intrusion, fire, medical emergency or other purpose to notify and request the assistance of the Village Police Department.
(2) Existing installations, whether residential or otherwise, shall be subject to the requirements of this chapter.
(B) No person or entity shall install any emergency alarm referred to in this chapter without first submitting the following information to the Village Police Department:
(1) The name, address and telephone number of the alarm company;
(2) The name, address and telephone number of the premises where the device is installed;
(3) The name, address and telephone number(s) of any other person or firm who is authorized to respond to an emergency and gain access to the address where the emergency alarm is installed;
(4) The name and telephone number of any other person or supplier, who is responsible for maintenance and repair of the emergency alarm system;
(5) The type of emergency alarm system, i.e., holdup, burglary, fire, medical alert or emergency;
(6) A copy of the state certification to install the alarms (when applicable).
(C) Users of emergency alarm system devices whose devices are installed prior to the effective date of this chapter shall, within 60 days after the enactment, supply the Village Police Department with the information specified in divisions(B)(1) through (6) above.
(D) All information furnished pursuant to this section shall be kept confidential and shall be for the authorized use of the Village Police Department or its authorized agent. This information shall not be released to any other commercial or for profit organization.
