(A) There is hereby established a Planning Commission in and for the village, which Commission shall consist of five members, and the members shall be the Mayor, one member of the legislative authority who shall be elected thereby for the remainder of his or her term as the member of the legislative authority and three citizens of the village who shall be appointed by the Mayor for terms of six years each; except that, the term of one of the members of the first Commission shall be for four years and one for two years. All members shall serve without compensation.
(B) This Commission is created under the authority granted in R.C. Ch. 713, and the Commission shall have all the authority granted to such a commission under R.C. Ch. 713, and especially those powers as set forth in R.C. §§ 713.02 through 713.05, and shall also have the powers conferred by R.C. § 735.15.
