(A) Be it enacted by the general assembly of the state, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, that the Town of Dallas, in the County of Gaston, is hereby incorporated into a body politic and corporate, by the name and style of the Commissioners of the town.
(B) It shall be lawful for the citizens of the town, at any time after the passage of this act, having ten days’ public notice of the day of election, to elect five Commissioners of the town, who shall hold their office for one year, or until their successors shall have been elected.
(C) The town is hereby vested with all the powers, rights, privileges and immunities, and subject to all the restrictions enumerated in Chapter 111, entitled “Towns”.
(D) The corporate limits of the town shall extend one-half mile in every direction from the court house in the town.
