1. It is not intended that these definitions include only words used or referred to in this Chapter. The words are included in order to facilitate the interpretation of the ordinance for administrative purposes and in the carrying out of duties by appropriate officers and by the Zoning Hearing Board.
2. Unless otherwise expressly stated, the following shall, for the purposes of this Chapter, have the meaning herein indicated:
A. Words used in the present tense shall include the future tense.
B. The word “person” shall include a profit or nonprofit corporation, company, partnership or individual.
C. The words “used” or “occupied” as applied to any land or building shall include the words “intended,” “arranged” or “designed” to be used or occupied.
D. The word “building” shall include “part thereof” and “structure.”
E. The word “lot” shall include “plot” or “parcel.”
F. The word “shall” is always mandatory.
G. The singular number shall include the plural, and the plural the singular.
H. The masculine gender shall include the feminine and neuter.
I. The word “street” shall include “road,” “highway” and “lane.”
