The assessor and collector of taxes of the city shall issue to each applicant therefor, on payment of the proper fee, a receipt and license showing the occupation paid for, the location where such occupation is to be conducted, the amount paid, the date of payment and the time paid for, and he shall make upon the stub or duplicate impression sheet thereof a correct statement of such receipt.
