SEC. 27-16.6.   REQUEST FOR CONTINUANCE OF HEARING.
   A continuance of a hearing requested and set under this article may only be considered and granted in open court by the presiding judge of the court on the date and time of the originally scheduled hearing. A continuance must be requested in writing and may only be granted for good cause shown. The court may continue the hearing no more than 60 days and must notify the parties appearing in open court of the new date and time of the hearing.  No other notice of the continued hearing date and time is required to be filed, sent, published, or posted.  (Ord.
