256.05 DEFINING "TIME WORKED" FOR THE PURPOSE OF CALCULATING OVERTIME.
   (a)   "Time worked", for the purpose of calculating overtime compensation for Village employees, shall include the following activities which occur during a seven-day work week:
      (1)   Vacation time;
      (2)   Holiday time;
      (3)   Personal days;
      (4)   A job-incurred injury (time off when the injury occurs);
      (5)   Leave due to death in the employee's immediate family, according to the provisions of Section 254.11;
      (6)   A court appearance on behalf of the Village;
      (7)   Attendance at a job-related school when required by a prior written order of the department head;
      (8)   Mandatory training time;
      (9)   Emergency call-out;
      (10)   Stand-by duty; and
      (11)   Compensatory time off pursuant to Section 256.07 for members of the Police and Fire Departments and certain other employees when requested by the employee one week in advance and with the prior written approval of the department head.
   (b)   "Time worked", for the purpose of calculating overtime for Village employees, shall not include the following activities which occur during a seven-day work week:
      (1)   Personal sick time;
      (2)   Duty-related sick time (for time off which is related to an injury which previously occurred); and
      (3)   Jury duty.
