The finance officer shall perform all the duties of the auditor, treasurer and finance director, as provided by law in the South Dakota Statutes and in the ordinances of the City of Custer City. Any reference sections of ordinances or resolutions to duties, obligations or requirements of the city auditor, city treasurer or finance officer shall be deemed duties of the finance officer.
The city finance officer shall maintain his or her office at the city hall, keep the corporate seal, and all papers and records of the municipality, attend council meetings and maintain a record of the council proceedings. The finance officer shall perform such other duties as may be hereafter prescribed by ordinance, resolution or direction of the city council, or the laws of the state.
