A. Gravel roads may be allowed if the planning commission and city council determine that the road will have no significant impact on air quality.
B. Gravel roads will meet city engineering specifications and all work shall be inspected and approved by the city engineer or the director of streets or designee.
C. If any gravel road is annexed into the city, public repair and maintenance, including snow removal, will not be provided until the road meets city hard surfacing pavement requirements and is officially accepted onto the city street system by resolution of the city council. A note shall be placed on the plat stating that the streets will not be accepted onto the city street system until they meet the minimum hard surfacing requirements of the city, or a notice to the owners shall be filed with the register of deed office stating that the streets will not be accepted onto the city street system until they meet the minimum hard surfacing requirements of the city.
