All residential and commercial customers whose home is not occupied for a period of thirty (30) consecutive days or more and whose water is shut off at the curb shall have their water and wastewater bill reduced during said period. Once a customer requests their water be turned on the rate reduction will terminate. In order for the water to be turned on, the customer or a representative of the customer must be at the location when the water turn-on takes place. The following reduced rates will apply for residential customers: water charge - seven dollars and thirty-four cents ($7.34); bond charge - two dollars and eighty-four cents ($2.84); wastewater charge - eight dollars and thirty- two cents ($8.32).
