In the event that remedial repairs are not deemed sufficient, in that a written release is not obtained from the public works supervisor or city administrator after expiration of the one (1)-year period, the city shall hold the bond. The public works director or city administrator shall then send written notice to the parties as to the cause for the bond being held by the city. If additional repairs are required, the contractor or party who applied for the permit will have an additional thirty (30) days to repair the deficiencies after receipt of notice. If the repairs are not completed within thirty (30) days, the city shall make the necessary repairs and withhold the costs and expenses for any repairs from the bond previously posted. These repairs shall be made by either the city or a contractor hired by the city. (Ord. 875 (part), 2022: Ord. 422 (part), 1994: prior code § 7-204)
