Within the city limits a burn permit will not be required for outdoor recreational open fires on private land, public land or developed recreation sites with established outdoor fireplaces that meet the South Dakota Wildland Fire Department of Agriculture Division regulations for minimum acceptable safety requirements for outdoor fireplaces, form #AG-DOF-216/89, and as amended. These guidelines will apply to outdoor fireplaces, fire pots, chimineas, salamanders, and charcoal grills. (Ord. 818 (part), 2019: Ord. 732, 2013)
