It shall be unlawful for any person to keep or maintain any rabbits, fowl, or birds (other than canaries, parrots or similar species), within 35 feet of any food establishment, school, church, hospital or any residence or dwelling house, apartment or hotel, or other building or structure occupied for any purpose by human beings. Nor shall any animal or fowl be kept in any sandwich packing or box lunch establishment, bakery, restaurant or lunch stand or within 35 feet of any door, window, ventilator or air shaft of such places, except as otherwise provided by state or local law.
