The purpose of this Subchapter is to supplement the Subdivision Map Act in order to provide for a division of land into four (4) lots or less, and to govern such a division of land under the provisions of this Chapter. The regulations outlined are intended to assure compliance with the Zoning Code, as set forth in Title 17 of this Code, and the various elements of the General Plan; to assure lot sizes of a size compatible with the size of existing lots in the immediate neighborhood, to provide necessary street dedication and improvements, and to prevent interference with the opening or extension of streets necessary for emergency vehicular access, proper traffic circulation, drainage, and the future development of adjacent properties.
