§ 150.117 TEMPORARY CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY.
The Building Commissioner may issue a temporary certificate of occupancy when, in his or her discretion, the issuance of the same would not cause any concern with damage to life or property and where the property owner posts with the town a performance bond or other security satisfactory to the town in an amount deemed adequate by the Building Commissioner for the work to be completed. In addition, the Building Commissioner shall establish a timetable for completion of the structure and other conditions which the Building Commissioner feels are needed to achieve completion of the structure within a reasonable period of time. Failure of the property owner to post the security or to finish the structure can and will result in the forfeiture of the security and/or the revocation of the certificate of occupancy that has been granted until the time as the structure has been completed to the satisfaction of the Building Commissioner.
