(A) Major party candidates for town offices shall be nominated through the method of a primary election, to be effective January 1, 2019.
(B) The nomination of major party candidates for town office through the method of political town convention shall be abolished.
(C) The Marshall County Election Board shall conduct the primary election for nomination of major party candidates for town offices.
(D) All state statutes governing primary elections for towns shall apply to the nomination of major party candidates for town offices.
(E) The town shall not change the method of nominating major party candidates for town offices for a period of 12 years from the passage of this section.
(F) The Town Clerk-Treasurer shall file a copy of this ordinance in the office of the Circuit Court Clerk of Marshall County.
