§ 33.01  PURCHASING AGENT DESIGNATED.
   (A)   The Town Council hereby determines that it is the purchasing agency for the town.
   (B)   The Town Council hereby designates the following persons to serve as purchasing agents for the town, with no individual purchase to be made by any of the purchasing agents that exceeds the sum of $1,000 without the prior approval of the Town Council, except in the case of an emergency situation, in which case the purchasing agent shall make a good faith effort to secure the prior verbal approval of at least a majority of the Town Council prior to making the expenditure:
      (1)   The elected Clerk-Treasurer;
      (2)   The Town Manager; and
      (3)   Other town employees as are designated in writing to be purchasing agents.
