(A) The Building Commissioner of the town shall be and hereby is charged with the duty of enforcing the terms of this subchapter.
(B) Before a permit can be issued for the operation of any hotel, motel, rooming house or lodging house pursuant to this code, the building shall be inspected to ensure that all smoke detectors required by this subchapter are in place and operable.
(C) When a family dwelling unit is remodeled or constructed after the effective date of this subchapter and requires a building permit, inspection shall include compliance with the smoke detector regulations included herein.
