For the purpose of this chapter the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
DEPARTMENT. The Town Council which is authorized by this chapter to administer the provisions of the Unsafe Building Law and the provisions of this chapter.
ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY. The Town Marshall or any of the town’s duly appointed deputies, the Superintendent of the Street Department or any member of the Town Council.
HEARING AUTHORITY. The Unsafe Building Hearing Board herein created.
SUBSTANTIAL PROPERTY INTEREST. Means the same as the term is defined by I.C. 36-7-9 as it is now defined or as it may hereafter be defined by I.C. 36-7-9.
