Each golf cart which is intended to be used on local streets and roads must be registered with the town police before it may be used on local streets and roads. Once the town police have inspected the vehicle and determined that the golf cart complies with all sections of this subchapter, the town police shall issue a registration unique to the inspected golf cart. The registration must remain on the golf cart at all times that the golf cart is used on local streets and roads. Registration shall expire one year after its issuance. A registration fee of $20 shall be paid at the time of the inspection.
